Baia Mare is a small city in northern Transylvania, home to around 120,000 people, and surrounded by mountains. Its heart is the old town, where you’ll find a variety of museums, restaurants, cafés, and bars to explore. Just a short walk away, you’ll find a large park, that offers a peaceful escape. Once a bustling mining town, Baia Mare is also known for its artistic heritage, as many European painters were inspired by its beautiful landscapes.
